Nurse Triage

A registered nurse is available during office hours for answering questions about your child.  Reasons for calling include discussing whether or not your child needs to be seen, suggestions for treating your child’s symptoms at home, refill requests, and any general questions or concerns.  Due to privacy laws, we are only allowed to speak with the child’s legal guardian.  A parent must give verbal consent if discussing your child with a caregiver is needed.  When you call, please have your child’s weight and a current pharmacy.

After Hours

If you have an urgent call that cannot wait until office hours, call the office phone number to leave a message with the answering service.  A physician will return your call within 20 minutes.  Please call again after 20 minutes if you do not receive a return call.   In case of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Neighborhood Pediatrics uses Epic, an EMR through the Cleveland Clinic.  This creates a chart with all of your child's information in one place, including birth records in the newborn nursery, inpatient hospitalizations, lab results, and consults from a Cleveland Clinic specialist, in addition to our office notes.  You can access your child’s health summary, including lab results, immunizations, and growth charts, through MyChart.

Hospital Affiliations

While Neighborhood Pediatrics is an independent practice, we do have privileges at Lakewood Hospital and Fairview Hospital.  We see newborns after birth at both Lakewood and Fairview Hospital.  If your child is sick enough to be admitted to the hospital, we will see your child at Fairview Hospital.
